Cleavers – Bedstraw

Latin name: Galium aparine

Family: Rubiaceae

Active constituents: glycoside, asperuloside

Properties: diuretic, alterative, aperient, lymphogogue

Uses:  It eliminates excess fluid, counteracts inflammations,and urinary infections, hepatitis and venereal disease.  It is a blood purifier as well an effective diuretic. Excellent for inflammation, internal & external.

Can be taken as a poultice. for cancerous growths and tumors.

Dosage: standard infusion or 3 to 9 grams.
