Most important single factor is the intake of FAT.  Cholesterol is FAT in the blood which leads to various cardiovascular issues.

  • Diet including unsaturated FAT instead of saturated FAT
  • Diet including more vegetable FAT and less animal FAT
  • Diet reduced in overall FAT intake
  • Increase
    • Fresh fruits & vegetables
    • whole grains & pasta
    • oily white fish
    • beans & peas (these can reduce blood cholesterol levels)
    • goat milk products
  • Decrease intake of
    • FAT
    • salt
    • sugar
    • red meat
    • cow milk products
    • processed food
    • convenience food

Smoking & Drinking

Stop smoking and reduce alcohol intake to a reasonable amount.

Dealing with Stress

Stress is relative.  It is more important to consider a person’s ability to deal with stress, than the stress itself.  There are:
